The box We start by building a box from our MDF. We attach the lower shelf up a few inches off the floor so that we can cut a pattern in the end pieces. |
| Back Panel To insure our back panel will be recessed, we make a dado cut in our back edge of our panels. |

Assemble We assemble the carcase using glue and nails. |
| Baseboard Moulding Using our jigsaw, we cut out our baseboard moulding. I think to make a pattern on strong paper, trace it onto my wood, then flip it over to trace the other side making it symmetrical. |

Crown Moulding For the top face, we attach a crown moulding. We didn't attach any crown moulding down the sides as this piece was matching an existing piece that only had mouldings on the face. |
| The Unit With our mouldings attached, we now have the completed bookshelf ready for paint. |

Painted We are painting this two toned, to match the clients room. A green and a yellow are being used. We also drilled shelf pin holes for the two adjustable shelves. |
| Done! The bookshelf is done and a changing pad can be placed on the top for use as a changing table. Once the changing pad is no longer needed, a nice bookshelf remains. |
